Advocating for Better Healthcare
I am a staunch advocate for a better, cheaper and more effective healthcare system in the United States. I believe that the naturopathic profession and a more integrative healthcare system in our country can help achieve a better system for patients. Over the years, I have held a variety of positions with my state and national associations advocating for the expansion and inclusion of naturopathic medicine in our system.
I served as VP of the New York Association of Naturopathic Medicine (NYANP), VP and President of Illinois Association of Naturopathic Physicians (ILANP) and Co-Chair of the State Alliance Committee of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). I am also a past member of the Board of Medical Examiners for the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology, which oversees the FABNO credentialing process.
Currently, I serve on the Board of Directors for the AANP. I am a member of the State and Federal Affairs committee of the AANP and a member of the Public Relations committee of the Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OANP). I The bulk of the work of these groups is to promote awareness of naturopathic medicine and advocate for enhanced access to naturopathic care for patients.
